Cinnamon ice-cream
Dear co-traveller,
I am currently reading a book about living a creative life. It is not only for artists, but for all people who like to keep ‘rolling’ and not collecting ‘moss’. This came to mind when a few days ago, one of my loved ones was travelling abroad. We had arrived at the airport too early, we checked in the suitcase and then decided that we would not waste our time waiting around for the flight, but we would wiz off and fulfill one last wish!
The advantage of living in the province is that everything is a hat-drop away. So we left the airport and visited our favourite ice cream parlor that had only just opened for the summer season and enjoyed our ice cream by the marina, in front of the sea, basking in the glorious sun. Ten minutes of heaven. This, is for me, the definition of living a creative life!
So, this week I would like to invite you to join me, in prolonging the time we have by living creatively. This I also call ‘multiplying time’, because this is how it feels when you do it. The trick is to try to be mindful during your day of the right moment, because no matter how busy we are, there are always five minutes to take time out and taste this season’s new ice cream flavour! And this experience is sooo unforgettable!
After all, what is life all but a pile of empty, cinnamon flavoured ice cream tubs?
